Beautiful Horses here but
THE DANCING WILL MAKE YOU SMILE…..
Tango Scene ~ Al Pacino ~ Scent of a Woman ~ Movie CLIP (1992)
Leonard Cohen ~ Dance Me To The End Of Love
Lyrics:
Dance me to your beauty with a burning violin
Dance me through the panic ’til I’m gathered safely in
Lift me like an olive branch and be my homeward dove
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love
Oh let me see your beauty when the witnesses are gone
Let me feel you moving like they do in Babylon
Show me slowly what I only know the limits of
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the wedding now, dance me on and on
Dance me very tenderly and dance me very long
We’re both of us beneath our love, we’re both of us above
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the children who are asking to be born
Dance me through the curtains that our kisses have outworn
Raise a tent of shelter now, though every thread is torn
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to your beauty with a burning violin
Dance me through the panic till I’m gathered safely in
Touch me with your naked hand or touch me with your glove
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love
Dance me to the end of love

Al Pacino. Scent of a Woman. What a great film. Love how L. C. kept getting more and more gravelly, but never less compelling. He’s in his eighties now, right? Probably still the same.

Always a sucker for anything Leonard Cohen, I couldn’t resist reblogging this piece from a new follower. Strange little piece, nevertheless, with oodles of horses, ballet, tango with Al Pacino and loads of post production work.

Rather lovely post – Cohen’s sublime lyric was about the Holocaust he says and it took me a long time to fathom it out.

Thanks for that bit of info. Wow! (I suppose it is kind of obvious when you know….) I didn’t realize and hadn’t guessed. But he is such a wonderful poet, his voice talks on many levels. A true master. His words are romantic, gentle, flirtatious…. even funny…..and yet I cry ?….. Now that you have explained the depths, his/its skin is simultaneously exposed opening red rawness and now I know why it makes me want to cry! Thank you for the light! I am so grateful ❤ .

I’ve got all his musical and written works as it happens – I’ve followed his career from way back – this clip may interest you’
The new album just released at 80 years of age is sublime. The book Beautiful Losers weird as it is is wonderful; poetry collection Flowers For Hitler surreal and profound at the same time. Trust this missive doesn’t bore you too much. Best of luck, The Old Fool!

Oh, dear. The video shop doesn’t open until 10 today, but I’ll be there with my nose pressed to the window, steaming up the glass, hoping they have that movie available.
Al Pacino was excellent in this role, and we all know that Leonard can’t do a thing wrong.
Thank you for a lovely start to my Sunday. ❤
