Chris has just added this nice little rhyme in the comments below to go with the photos……..

Two birds looking at the wintry sun
One is old and the other is young
Another one sitting in the wintry blue,
Don’t you wish it could be you?

I asked Chris if I could place it up here and he said Yes! Thanks again Chris! Hurray!

  1. I love that first photo, Gill, with the multi-colored background and the silhouetted tiny little buds, and of course the lovely birds. Enjoyed Chris’ ditty and his map-reading post as well. Thank you! 😀

  2. Is one named Peter and the other one Paul? Your post title sounds like it could be another nursery rhyme:
    Two birds looking at the wintry sun
    One is old and the other one young;
    Another one sitting in the wintry blue,
    Don’t you wish it could be you?

    1. thanks Laura! I was leaping around by the back door and the postman came round with a parcel so had to stop.The sun ‘s first peep looked interesting and had gone by the time I had ripped open the parcel so was surprised I had got anything when I downloaded the bits I had taken! The birds were playing about!xxxxx
