    1. These are mummified and entirely uneatable. No chocolate. Just slow oven dried. These are years old! They still smell sweet and orangey. If you leave whole oranges in the sun ( on a sunny window ledge for a very long time) making sure they do not go rotten (that would happen quickly, so you throw those)… but most of them treated this way will start to dry out and turn into tough hard leather versions of their former selves. The outsides turn a beautiful beige colour and they will smell very sweet. If you cut them up the insides are usually intact but dried out. Very lacy looking. You can keep them indefinately but you will get fed up of them long before they give up on you. So… that’s how to mummify oranges…..!!!
