Thursday September 12th
Today, I got an email reminding me about the dustbins so I sorted out the dustbins. It is dustbin day tomorrow, so I have been making sure the paper and tins and plastic I have been filing away have been put into the right boxes, and then I put the lot in impeccable order by the gate. Today its grey and black box day and small grey waste food day….. next week ( on Friday) it is green bin day; garden waste. So if I don’t get it right and put the correct bin out, the rubbish won’t go and the appropriate boxes and bins will be bulging with even more stuff in a fortnight. That’s why I have arranged a regular email to remind me of the day and which bin to fill!
Later today, as I was leaving the house for town I caught a large grey cat sitting on top of the grey bin waiting for rubbish collection by the gate. There is no food in the bin, so I don’t know why the cat had been trying to open the lid. Perhaps he was just a little bored. As soon as it saw me he scurried away.
In the High Street, Barclays refused to give me any money. Its not an unusual event here as we live in a destination town; it is full of tourists who regularly create a run on cash at the hole in the wall. The box at Lloyds on the other side of the road but in a side street, gave me some. After buying a newspaper (the i ) and a packet of dried cranberries I walked home, to work on the computer, but the sun decided to come out, and I sat in the garden with a cup of coffee and a handful of cranberries………Well Emma you did ask…..I bet you can hardly wait to hear what I get up to tomorrow…..
Much Love Rosie.
