I got too close to a blackbird nest last year and they got frightened and flew away and left three eggs. Very sad.

I think this pair have been nesting in this place for three years. It was a long shot, didn’t disturb her. She is well hidden!. They seem to like the en suite bird bath and are pretty safe from cats but the hedge they are in needs cutting . Now it will have to be left alone….. oh dear I was so looking forward to doing that !

There are four eggs …. and the nest gets full sun most of the day between the woody bits… nest well anchored there !
