……by the gate
where the garden ends
along the edge still the little procession
crawls along the line of leaves
unnoticed

higher than the rest.
the crowned faerie queen sits on a winged horse
lumbering heavily onwards
towards the rainbow end

those high lines along the sky….
( the ones where birds still wash and greet the slippery sun)
……. help to show the way!

leading the caravan
at snail’s pace two elves sit in a funny car
(no drivers wheel !)
and there behind the queen
a bird………(ok! may be a leaf )…..displays its perky tail.

  a brown (dull gold) morning sun by the gate  October 20th  at 8 o’clock. All the leaves (seen above) have gone!!!
