One woman moves from a commune to New York City without shaving…any part of her body. As she struggles to fit into the world around her, she weaves in the stories of several different women she’s interviewed on their adventures in shaving, waxing, and everything (or nothing) in between. “The Next Dog King” created and performed by Jim Julien. It is a tale told with dog puppets and multimedia (and dog urine) about the death of an old dog and the power struggle that ensues. A young dog, Bolan, finds himself drawn into the fray. His owner, Jim, simply wants to walk the dog around neighborhood but begins to realize he has been given a window into the secret life of dogs.
