midsummer moon 4.30am

2014 06 22 4.30am moon over the washing line jpg sig
Woke up (as you do) and went to make a cup of coffee. Kettle on, I opened the back door ( oh dear!) and the moon was sitting there above the washing line (grabbed the camera). Virginia Creeper, in silhouette, looks, I think, a tad magical at this hour.(Bit later walked over to the field to take some photos of the sun). Diary Gill June 22 (midsummer)

A beautiful edge but no meeting place……(be warned)

2014 06 12 Warning no meeting place jpg sig
To meet beyond
The forest lined horizon
Towards the slivered pink
Where waves seem to crash and roll on a far off shore
You first must clamber into a rolling silent veil of mist
Which asks in teasing whispers and honeyed tones ‘Which way now?’
And you’ll know not which way to stumble
With no light to guide you
Or how to find
The bridge to cross that is n’t there
Over a deep and swirling river
Where men who swim have drowned before…………

2014 06 08 what difference a magic day makes jpg sig
Yesterday. Evening.
The clouds extraordinary
Were promising. Something.

Today. Morning.
A veil of mist hid everything.

Then.
The sun
Burned the mist
To reveal an ordinary day.

On reflection
The ordinary.

Today

Was quite extraordinary….
Caressed, surrounded
By night, magical

All day
