(Waved to Charlie!) Forces of Nature

the gentle lady drops

2014 05 21 She drops. Ever more lovely, with blue jpg.sig with poem
Although you still look lovely in your glass of blue
It’s too late now!
I wish I’d never picked on you.
You lasted just a day without your morning dew!

While your sisters left in the flower beds
Still wet with mist…. or is it tears?
Try to tell me why, they bend their heads

Saving the lovely droopy peony: who bows her head as if in shame

2014 05 20 Peony jpg sig

the peony is like a rose
but kinder softer without thorns
when you pick her
she will offer no resistance
she will stand just as sweetly on display
because
she knows that in the glass
she has just one last chance
to hold her head up high!

(Yeah to peonies! There are twenty more like her in the garden getting heavy with dew! So I saved this one and gave her blue!)

peonies       more peonies      and even more peonies
