This is a really nice photo. What processing software to yo have available? If you could open the image in a raw image processor, bring down the white level, then pull up the shadows and black to keep the rest of the color constant, you might just get the orange painted sun you are looking for.

I do not fiddle with colour ( mostly because I do not know how).
