Have a beautiful weekend!

… looks like he’s rehearsing the jitterbug

Motion
Up too late to catch the first pink of dawn over the way, I went into garden barefoot, with the camera- what a mistake – the grass was so cold, so wet, I nearly flew back to the kitchen. But the pigeon pair, sitting on one of the lines above under the blue were in the middle of a conversation clearly excited about the hazy golden sun getting ever brighter and still rising in the middle of the gap over the way.
There was a sudden flurry and the gent pigeon took off while the lady remained innocent, still seated, cooing gently – on the line. He landed on another wire nearer the sun and seemed to crawl dejected along it towards the pole looking for his best seat to watch it all.
A few others tried to join him but were quickly seen off!

The sun ever brighter continued to set everything aglow – and then the birds flew away – to chase other things!
…… But look at her back on the line – still there – She has turned to gold –

And he has come back to her – having caught the gold – although I think he got a bit too close! – He obviously lost his head – and is quietly waiting to recover!
With any light mist burned away now gone – the fields to the side beyond the old Cherry tree – are suddenly quite yellow
Yeh!

snoozing pigeons didn’t turn a feather.

some early bird! Early Bird weekly challenge link
them getting away from it all…..round about 9 o’clock

not sure if they are coming or going

above it all the jackdaw pair

We are all fascinated with this particular Jackdaw pair who survey everything as they hang out in their nest on the chimney over the way and also in the trees where they count the cars-
We are fascinated with the daddy’s unique white feathers on his head and front. He looks royal and is the only one like it in the flock so he is easy for us to spot!- I guess the mother bird can pick him out just as easily and see what he gets up to!
At 7 this morning ( maybe it tried before that) the sun shone promising a nice day…..took the photo….. as it turned out the sun went in quickly and wasn’t as bright as it’s promise ….

decided to hang out at home…….
But the sun did come out in the end….in the evening…… and for as long as it lasted it looked like a half eaten Easter egg still in bright wrapping and hiding in the trees! Yeah!
[three stages the descent between 7.15 and 7.35 tonight]
Nice chilled but busy sort of day. The weather forecast for tomorrow is sun so with any luck will definitely plant the seed potatoes and cut the grass (maybe)
