defined by the mist
which clung
all day
to the sky
to the hill
to the far off trees
then finally blushed ~
and was gone

today….early morning
in the absence of sun…..
What can a bird do?

Three little birds
Looking at the view
One flew towards a roof
And then there were two!

Two little birds
Looking for the sun
One flew towards the sky
Then there was one!

One little bird
Still looking for the sun
Saw the misty line of trees
And suddenly was gone!

Today…
11.00 am
By the window now……
Waiting, waiting for a spark to light the sky
Beyond this new horizon
Framed in familiar layers of pink and purple
Hanging wet in misted lines
Another new dark day
While far off stars still beckon hidden in the blue……
………Just then my robin flew down and began to take his bath 11.07am

(For 3 minutes the bird strutted his stuff- 30 pictures in sequence- everyone a gem!)

a recurring thing is happening near
by this pole
on this flattened hill
above that fast winding river down there
you cannot see from way up here
by this pole
just here
a rippling clinging mist is clearing
now defining new horizon layers
way way over there……
